Stem8 is using patented tech to identify compound-combinations that are reactivating hair and skin stem cells. This sounds complicated but basically our Stem8 tech allows to identify which potential drug can reverse hair loss, wrinkles, regrow gum and/or even fight some types of skin cancers on stem cell level. Our long-term goal is to delay age-related manifestations or even reverse their onset and to increase duration and quality of life - and include everyone who is interested actively in the process.

This sounds too good to be true. Is there a proof-of-concept?

Yes. Stem8 is the result of decade-long research. For the screening tech specifically a proof-of-concept screening has been successfully conducted where +400 compounds have been screened.

Do you have your own lab? How will you be screening that many compounds?

No, we don't have and don't want our own lab. We partnered with leading institutions to conduct the screening in the best and most efficient setup possible.

Where do you even get 50K compounds to screen? And what happens next?

There are multiple FDA approved libraries we can and will access for the screening. After the screening the most promising hits will be further developed in medical chemistry - and patented by Stem8.

Will Stem8 work on rare diseases as well?

Yes (at least we will try)! While we are starting with rather broad topics, we will surely look into rare diseases and support efforts to personalize medcare and access to drugs and related treatment for people with rare diseases eventually. Our mission is to include everyone - we are no pharma shark.
